Suranne Jones
Sarah Anne Jones (also known as Suranne Jones) is an English actress and producer. Suranne Jones has gained fame acting as Ruth Slater in the miniseries "Unforgiven," as Detective Rachel Bailey in the police procedural drama "Scott & Bailey", and the role of GP Gemma Foster in the medical comedy 'Doctor Foster'. Jones is an Greater Manchester native who joined Oldham Theatre Workshop to receive her BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts. As a part of a stage production called Wait Until Dark, she played Gloria as a child at age eight. Her screen debut came in 1997 in an episode of the show 'Coronation Street'. In 2000 she played Karen McDonald in the series. Then, she was cast in various TV roles which included 'Vincent"Strictly confidential," and "Harley Street.' On the big screen, she has appeared in movies like "Love and a Longshot", "Broken Hearts" as well as 'A Christmas Star'.
