Yael Stone, a native of Australia and living in New York City in 2013, portrayed Lorna Mello as the prisoner in Orange Is the New Black. Yael has graduated from NIDA. Since her early years, Yael has been lucky enough to work with Australia's premiere storytellers, luminaries of performance and visionaries behind the scenes in films as well as theatre and television. Yael leads a highly professional career that has been a success in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael's new life in New York City began when her production was critically acclaimed by the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Yael co-founded The Cannery.
